Last week, I started interning at Citrus Three, a social media marketing firm in Vero Beach, Florida. I’m going to be with them the next three weeks, and I hope to be able to put my skills to use while I’m here. My first week has been pretty relaxed; most of what they’ve done with me is talk about the ins and outs of social media marketing for business, and we’ve gone out to capture footage for a daily vlog they have me working on.
I arrived with minimal knowledge of social media marketing, but know it’s very important that companies use it to interact with their audiences and generate business. I spend a lot of time on social media, and I interact with companies on a daily basis through websites like Twitter. We live in the era of social media (and fidget spinners), so a business that is not using social accounts to interact is not going to get the customers it needs to thrive.
I expect to learn a lot about marketing on social media while I’m here. I’ve sat in on a couple of meetings the guys have had with potential clients where they’ve discussed the importance of marketing on social media and how it can benefit the client in a variety of ways and I will also be filming future meetings for the vlog.
I’m going to write about my experiences and learnings in this blog for your consumption. Basically, the point of this blog is to provide an inside look at my time here – from my perspective. I’m looking forward to it.
Follow along with me as I intern here at Citrus Three!
