Social Media Marketing In 2018 Is Much More Than Just Facebook

You may start seeing slight shifts in Social Media Marketing in 2018. Facebook's CPM (Cost per 1,000) has gone up 171% in 2017 and they're continuing to run out of ad space thanks to high demand. Founder, Mark Zuckerberg has been figuring out new ways to get ads to the people (and he's done a great job) by utilizing in-stream video ads, messenger ads, and plopping ads in our stories, but other platforms will start to see some more action.

Instagram is a hot bed for new advertisers (7 reasons why right here, plus it's owned by Facebook, Inc.) Snapchat is toying with some new ideas, LinkedIn will begin running video ads in 2Q 2018, and even Pinterest has gotten up-to-date with offering ads.

Social Media Marketing is no longer just the land of Facebook. While Facebook is still king, these other platforms are making their moves. Also, every advertising campaign is different. Every. Single. One. If you're marketing to the 65 and older crowd (yes, this crowd is online and active), please do yourself a favor and stay away from Snapchat, however if you're trying to hit 18-24 year olds, it might not be a bad option.

If you're planning on marketing in 2018, and you plan on being online (if you're not, read this), you need to make sure you're using a Social Media Marketing company that has a comprehensive grasp of ALL the platforms. As always, Citrus Three is always available to help, right here in sunny Vero Beach, FL.
