3 Basic Steps To Improve Your Company's Social Media

If you've already decided it's time to improve your company's social media footprint, you're officially ahead of the curve.

Keeping up an active and engaging social media footprint can be a time-consuming endeavor for business owner, whose time is already cut short with everything else on his or her plate. But it's also becoming more and more crucial every day. So find a way to make time, or find somebody to help you.

Here are three basics steps towards achieving your goal of a more dynamic social media presence. There are many more tips we can provide, but this is your starting line. There's a long race ahead.

1.) Consistency Is Everything

If you think your going to create an engaging audience by posting once a week, you're mistaken. Posting AT LEAST once a day is something that you're going to have to come to terms with.

Now take a deep breath... it's easier than you think.

Documenting your day-to-day business activities needs to become part of your day, as natural as making coffee in the morning. Once you become consistent you'll see the increased engagement.

2.) More Videos & Photos

The most important part of an engaging social media presence is providing ENGAGING content, which means less text and more videos and photos. People don't want to sort through your thoughts, they want to see what you're doing.

Millions of people sign in to social media platforms every day in search of stories to connect to. If you're a business, tell that story in the most personal way possible - video.

3.) STOP SELLING

We at Citrus Three cannot stress this enough: people are not on social media to be sold to. Stop posting straight up advertisements on your social media feeds, that's not where they belong.

If you want to advertise, create an advertisement and pay to push it, or find someone that knows how to do just that.

The best way to generate leads for your business on social media is provide advice and helpful tips on a consistent basis, helping to position yourself as the expert in the field. When the time comes that somebody needs your services, now they'll know who to come to.

Follow these basic steps to be on your way to a more dynamic social media presence. And stay tuned to Citrus Three for more helpful tips.
